Drew Horley

Drew Horley is a highly experienced music industry professional with over 25 years of expertise. He began his journey as a bedroom DJ and Beat-maker and quickly rose to prominence, earning a Mercury Music Prize nomination for his co-production efforts with the esteemed rapper and Hip Hop connoisseur TY.

As a well-respected producer, composer, and engineer, Drew has cultivated a strong reputation within specific genres. He has collaborated with numerous major and independent artists, including Natalie Williams, Andrew Roachford, De La Soul, Burna Boy, Estelle, and many others. Drew’s musical versatility shines through in his production works, as he is a gifted, self-taught multi-instrumentalist proficient in playing the drums, keyboards, and bass.

Drew’s music credits extend beyond artist collaborations. He has also worked with various media clients, providing services such as composing music to picture, sound design, mixing, mastering, and song sync for TV commercials, films, and television shows. Notably, he received a direct commission from actor Don Cheadle for the movie “Oceans 12,” as well as creating music for Sky Sports and several independent films and TV commissions. In 2021, Drew’s exceptional work on the short film “Can You See Me?” for the A21 ‘Can You See Me’ Campaign earned him the Best Sound Design Award, raising awareness for the anti-trafficking of women and children.

In 2001, Drew established his successful recording studio, Lab Studios (Clapham), which served as the hub for his client work. After relocating to Somerset with his family, he decided to move the studio to an outbuilding there while still maintaining a presence at The Qube in Park Royal for his London-based clients.
